Due to the nice and comfortable weather year-round, residents in Florida spend much time outdoors. This does not just look like time spent at the beach or pool. Many will decide to go for walks to get fresh air, for exercise or to more environmentally friendly. Regardless why a person has chosen to travel by foot, the reality is that many pedestrians will travel where motor vehicles are also traveling. This can create a matter of increased risks that could lead to a serious and possibly a fatal pedestrian accident.

Pedestrian fatality

According to recent reports, a 36-year-old female was killed in a pedestrian crash. The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the fatal crash occurred in the early morning hours around 2:25 a.m. The crash occurred on Capital Circle Southwest near Springhill Road. It is believed that the crash happened when a pickup truck traveling westbound on Capital Circle Southwest. It is unclear where the pedestrian was walking at this time. Investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.

Investigating a pedestrian accident

Without these, investigators have to look at the scene of the accident to establish cause and essentially liability.
