Fatal accident in Okaloosa Island

We all are lucky to live in one of the world’s best places to live. We have some of the best beaches in the world, hundreds of miles of those beaches and millions visit every year. We get to enjoy our state’s beauty full-time. However, with that beauty comes danger on our roads. This is especially true as our highways tend to be a bit twistier and congested with out-of-towners. Unfortunately, these fact was highlighted recently in a fatal Okaloosa Island car accident.

The accident

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motor vehicle accident occurred Sunday night at around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 98. This accident accrued just after the Destin, Florida, bridge. An out-of-towner was traveling eastbound on Highway 98 when they lost control of their vehicle. This caused the out-of-towner to careen into the westbound lanes of the highway.

The resulting multivehicle car accident involved two other vehicles. The out-of-towner collided directly with another vehicle, which then apparently, impacted the third vehicle. However, the Florida Highway Patrol did not release any additional information about the car accident or the injuries that resulted from the accident.

The consequences

Life is hard enough without having to deal with a motor vehicle accident. The consequences of a motor vehicle accident will, at a minimum, require dealing with at least two car insurance companies, lawyers, police, auto repair facilities and medical providers, among possibly many others.

This is why personal injury lawsuits are available for those victims of another driver’s negligence. These lawsuits allow accident victims to recover for their damages. Though, this is where finding an aggressive firm can make all the difference to victims because an aggressive firm fights for the rights of their clients.
